it all began with an impromptu performance for Bintang HMI 1995, Malaysia's highly anticipated music producers Adnan Abu Hassan in the same year which helped jumpstart 16-year-old Siti Nurhaliza’s multi faceted career. Suria Records released Siti Nurhaliza's debut album, the self-titled "Siti Nurhaliza, which garnered much attention due to the popularity of her highly addictive ballad-flavored first single with the released of the album in April 1, 1996. Its popularity was propelled by the highly addictive ballad-flavored lead single, “Jerat Percintaan” penned by Adnan for Siti. A year later, Siti Nurhaliza delivered the platinum-selling sophomore set, again the second self-titled album "Siti Nurhaliza", featuring the No. 1 singles "Aku Cinta Padamu" and "Wajah Kekasih". "Aku Cinta Padamu" also made her fame in Indonesia with the 18 years old Siti features in the main media on the republics. This is something wow for Malaysian artiste to do so in Indonesia, as the republic itself have their highly competition amongst their stars.
Born in Kampung Awah, Temerloh in the rural state of Pahang on January 11, 1979, Siti Nurhaliza began honing her powerful, arresting vocals at an early ages, influenced by an iconic talents as Aishah, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.
Moving away from her career music roots, Siti Nurhaliza's first upbeat "Bisikan Asmara" showed that her versatile repertoire, from Ballad to Pop Rock to traditional folks. Her next studio album in the same year of second Siti Nurhaliza's album, "Cindai" is set Siti to fame with her famous no. 1 single, "Cindai". Leading the charge was her third studio album "Adiwarna" which earned her the very first "Best Vocal Performances in an Album" for "AIM". The MTV Asia's Malaysia Favourite Artist award-winners for 4 consecutive year are also crowned as the Voice of Asia by winning the singing competition for Asia's singer in Kazakhstan performing "Purnama Merindu" from the hit album "Adiwarna" leading her to be the second Asia's Big Star crowned by MTV in 2004.
